Frolov et al. (2020) Phylogenetic relationships within Pyrenodesmia sensu lato and the role of pigments in its taxonomic interpretation. Journal of Systematics and Evolution 59(3): 454-474.
Notes: Arctic-alpine material of Caloplaca diphyodes is shown to be not related to the type material, collected in France, and instead belongs in Pyrenodesmia s. str. The holotype of Lecanora helygeoides fits the Arctic–alpine C. diphyodes auct. in morphology, anatomy, and chemistry.
