Description.Thallus crustose, corticate, greenish-white, thin, continuous. Ascomata perithecia, solitary, abundantly scattered, black, 0.25-0.3 mm diam., subimmersed; ostioles apical. Hamathecium not inspersed, K/I-. Asci 8-spored, subuniseriate; ascospores brown, 4-celled, terminal lumina separated from the exospore wall by endospore thickening, 19-25 x 8-12 μm.
Chemistry. UV-; spot tests and secondary metabolites not reported.
Substrate and habitat. Corticolous.
Distribution. Pantropical; in North Carolina found in the Coastal Plain ecoregion.
