Description.Thallus crustose, tan to yellow-brown, continuous. Ascomata perithecia, aggregated and fused in extensive, raised, dark brown pseudostromata; ostioles apical, erect. Hamathecium not inspersed; interascal filaments simple. Asci 8-spored; ascospores brown, 4-celled, with thin endospore, terminal lumina separated from the exospore wall by endospore thickening17-21 x 7-9 μm.
Chemistry. Not reported.
Substrate and habitat. Corticolous on trees in forests.
Distribution. Pantropical; in North Carolina found in the Coastal Plain ecoregion.
