Secondary Thallus: Present, of indeterminate growth; stipe 40-180 mm high, 1.3-5 mm wide, lime green or olive (light yellow-green (119) to olive brown (94)), homogeneously coloured or tainted brown, corticate, with intact (rarely perforate) wall, 20-50 µm thick. Upper Surface: Smooth. Ascocarps: Forming along the margin of scyphi, sparse. Disk: Strongly convex; brown. Secondary Metabolites: Fumarprotocetraric acid, protocetraric acid, and atranorin, of the following substance class(es): ß-orcinol depsides and ß-orcinol depsidones. Spot Tests: Upper surface: K (negative) or + bright yellow (citrine, lemon), C , PD + red.
