Sporodochia: superficial, dark brown to black, +round, convex, mainly single, (75-)100-275(-300) µm in diam.; basal stromatic tissue: pseudoparenchymatic, with hyaline to pale brown, isodiametric to polyhedral cells; marginal exciple-like structure: composed of elongate cells apically swollen, dark brown and unevenly thickened conidiophores: arising from the basal stromatic layer, macronematous, erect, 2-3-branched, pale brown, cylindrical, smooth, septate, 12.5-14 x 2.5-3 µm conidiogenous cells: integrated, terminal, with percurrent proliferations and 2-3(-5) annellations, hyaline, subcylindrical, smooth, 4.5-10 x 2-2.5 µm conidia: holoblastic, brown, 1-septate, smooth, dry, ellipsoid, with a truncate base, 6.5-8 x 3-4 µm. Hosts: on thallus of Pertusaria species, not visibly damaging the host World distribution: North America and Australia, possibly absent in Europe Sonoran distribution: known from three localities in southern California and Baja California Sur.
